Here's to you

A majority of my life my companion, my doggy, has been a Jack Russel Terrier. I don't think that I could ever have another type of dog. When I was little there as the television show Wishbone and the star of that show was a JRT and when I started watching Frasier Moose was the star! So, when the Oscar winner for blah blah was the Artist I thought about the little guy Uggie. He's so cute!

Neil Degrasse Tyson

I know you remember this guy:
No this is not LeVar Burton (I'm not talking about Reading Rainbow) This is Neil Degrasse Tyson! (and don't you wear it out!) He's such a wonderful speaker. Every time I hear him speak I get all charged up to learn more about science and space. Learn more!

Notable History

As most of you are aware its a new year; yet another year to try some thing and call it new, just 'cause...Here are some things to reflect on and remind you of things past.

January 1
The first day of the year in the Gregorian calendar.
This year there are 365 days and counting. (364 because I'm writing this on the 2nd)
Most western European countries changed the start of the year to January 1 before they adopted the Gregorian calendar. For example, Scotland changed the start of the Scottish New Year to January 1 in 1600. England, Ireland and the British colonies changed the start of the year to January 1 in 1752. Later that year in September, the Gregorian calendar was introduced throughout Britain and the British colonies. These two reforms were implemented by the Calendar (New Style) Act 1750.
January 1 became the official start of the year as follows:

"I'm ready, I'm ready!"

It's been awhile. I have been looking back at my videos from last year and thinking; "It's been a year!?" Already, one whole year. Amazing! I've learned so much about the YouTubes and I cannot believe that it's been a year. Only more time will tell how well I keep up with this silliness. Anywhoshkins, this year I gots a real tree!
Check out my video of me getting ready for the Holidays. Boy am I ready for snow, and snow, and snow, and snow, and snow...

Notable History

This is a little late (I'm posting this on 12.15, but this entry is dated 12.1).

12.1.11
A new trend I would like to be a part of is Notable History. On November 1 2011, I noticed something quite unusual; the death of a sort of notable person. At least notable enough to put it on Wikipedia and show in the News Headlines. I was, at the time, researching a little history and found a listing of birth and death dates. Now the world cannot predict who will become famous, so I have been following the deaths of notable historical figures. It is very strange, to learn about someone who a day ago was living. So far, I think the most notable person, has been Steve Jobs. Though, he was of no real interest to me, it is interesting nonetheless to follow the story of his life after his death and watch how quickly his story surrenders to oblivion. Let's not forget.

So, I challenged myself to keep up with the 'notable' deaths for one month in order to learn more about the world and the trend continues...

Somethin' Fun

I had a crazy idea to make a stop animation short film of the first level of Super Mario Brothers. Well, since I had this idea I haven't been able to stop searching for similar shorts. So, here's one just for fun!

The list of Desire

There are only a few things that I really want; world peace, love, no war, community, etc...
Apparently, I am supposed to make a list for Christmas. Each year I attempt to think of something to write down. My usual request is coloring books and markers. Only one person has taken this seriously and I was pleasantly surprised with a Homosapien coloring book. Amazing!
This year I actually have a list and I started it months ago...

Halloween

One of my favorite past times is watching cartoons. A couple of days ago a friend reunited me with cartoons from my childhood. Now that I am a little older I realize that these cartoons are very strange and really very weird. Enjoy! See More...

All Hallow's Eve

We're on the cusp of a wonderful holiday. I have always been a fan of Halloween. Recently, I have been picking very obscure characters or at least being very specific about my costume. There was the 1980's Working Girl business casual where I looked like I had dressed up as my friend who was wearing the same outfit. And then, there is this year; Mary Martin Peter Pan.
The trick to my costumes is to wait until the very last minute. Yesterday, I really had no idea what I was going to wear, let alone how I would create it within two hours time. So, after work and a nap, I found myself thinking; I have all this green and this green coat, hmmmmm... And two hours later, just in time to catch the bus to a friends Halloween party I became Peter Pan! I tried to fly, but only for a second because I got scared.
No Peter Pan is complete without his shadow.
